3. On-Device Processing & Local Storage
All features within Rare Calculator operate locally on your device:
- Mathematical Engine: Standard arithmetic and 5×6 scientific calculations are evaluated in real time directly on your device’s processor.
- Calculation History: Your calculation history tape is stored locally in device memory so you can review and reuse recent results. You can clear your history at any time using the Clear button inside the Calculation History sheet.
- Visual & Acoustic Preferences: Your selected Liquid Glass finish (such as Alpine Sky, Obsidian, Tiffany Aqua, Emerald, Amethyst, Rose Quartz, or Crimson Noir) and local tactile audio/haptic feedback operate purely on your device.
4. Website & Voluntary Support Communications
When you visit rarecalculator.com or contact our support team:
- Support Inquiries: If you choose to email us directly at support@rareincorporated.com or submit a support inquiry via our Support Center, we will receive your email address, name (if provided), and the contents of your message solely to respond to your request and provide customer assistance.
- Standard Web Hosting Logs: Our website is hosted on Google Firebase Hosting over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Like all standard web servers, hosting infrastructure may transiently process basic technical metadata (such as IP address and browser user-agent string) strictly to deliver web pages securely and prevent distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
5. Apple App Store Diagnostics
If you download Rare Calculator through the Apple App Store and have opted in to share anonymized crash or diagnostic data with app developers in your Apple device settings, Apple may provide aggregated, non-personally identifiable crash logs to help us maintain app stability.
